Hi:C is constipation predominantD is diarrhea predominantA is alternating between C and DI'm not sure about the B although the most likely candidate is Bloating.IBC is a type of Root Beer sold in the US.

I'm not sure if they are actual medical terms but they are freely used by visitors to this board. I'm also pretty sure that any GI doc is familiar with these designations.

yeah, when i tried zelnorm out...it said on the box "for those with primarily ibs-c symtoms"...however, when i was diagnosed ibs why a GI, he said nothing about there being different 'kinds' of ibs...then again, he didn't say much about anything! (a$$hole)
