IBS and Hysterectomy

I have had IBS for many years, and I was just recently properly diagnosed.I have a question: Last May I had a hysterectomy. I have been in a state of IBS crisis ever since. IS THIS NORMAL?CRISIS: Severe pain, bloating, nausea, etc

Kimberly, I had a hysterectomy in March of 2000 and I kind of wondered if the stress of it triggered a post-surgery attack. Mine settled down after 6 months or so, though. It didn't last a year. Good luck!
Thank you Chatterstock122,This is sooo hard. I am wondering if early menopause is also prolonging this "Attack"? I am only 38I don't take any replacements, as I am too afraid of causing more pain and constipation. IBS, MENOPAUSE Life is good!!

Did your doctor tell you to take calcium supplements and if so some of them can be very constipating.Linda
