Hi everyone,Im new here and I feel compelled to tell my story because I really went through toture. I have acid reflux/GERD from hell, IBS/constipation, chronic gastritis (this is the worst which I went to the ER for). I had lost a considerable amount of weight, tried going gluten-free but NOTHING helped. The prevacid, prilosec and protonex were not working and my stomach would just churn the food kicking up more acid and making me look like i'd been hit by a mac truck. I was getting gastritis once per week, missing work and a few times I just wished to die than endure another episode. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and have to brush my teeth because so much acid was backing up into my mouth.$6K later in CAT scans, endoscopies, specialists and medications--alternative and others I threw my hands up. I stopped taking all my medications and had this feeling deep down in my gut that my food was not breaking down for some reason and possibly causing me bile reflux and damaging the lining of my stomach. I thought if anything I needed more acid, not less, but hadn't made the full connection in my mind.I'd tried apple cidar vinegar and it made me worse. On a fluke I went to the grocery store to the refrigerated section where the health drinks are. I saw one called Synergy--Kombucha tea. It said it aided in digestion. I thought, what the hell and already made up my mind it wouldn't do anything for me. I'd been burned by empty promises. So I began to sip it with my meals and IMMEDIATELY my symptoms stopped. My energy skyrocketed and I felt fine after eating. I could eat pizza, sweets whatever and NO reflux, no constipation. No longer do I wake up with that acid taste in my mouth and extreme thirst. I only need a few sips in the morning, and with my meals and it's as if it is the missing link that is breaking down all my food and bringing balance back into my life. I have to drink more water with it and I did go into detox as soon as I started taking it. for a week or so I had bad body odor, and my gut did kick out some nasty stools that looked like they'd been sitting around a while. This is strong stuff with tons of enzymes and probiotics. Tea bags labeled Kombucha are NOT the real deal. I get the refrigerated stuff. If you do decide to try it, try only a little at a time and keep eating well etc. You can get it at Bloom, Whole Foods and health food stores. One bottle is 16 oz and should last 2-3 days.I"m not a company trying to promote this stuff. I wish everyone with the same issues as me would try it out. Doctors have provided me with very little help besides eliminating a life threatening diagnosis.Liz
