Hi.Been here since last april 2000.Can't accept the fact that I have had diarrhea fro 18 months now with loads of tests.I have a sore pain from time to time under my left rib and am suffering from "D" and mild reflux and smelly gas. No vommiting but feel weak and dizzy. A typical day goes something like this:-Get up pass urine , then need a bowel movement that is usually loose and pale in colour like paste but sometimes diarrhea.About hour or so later feel weak, dizzy and dazed which can last most of the day mostly until teatime when I begin to feel a little better. Sometimes I have to go to the toilet once more which is mostly loose. Also I have a feeling sometimes of strong urine. Some intermittent pain is also felt in the kidney area, mainly the left but sometimes the right. I had a change in bowel status back in March 2000 but the increase in dazed, dizzy spells seem to continue. I have had :-Six blood tests. All OK but raised LFT Tests. Apparently I have a mildly fatty liver, Confirmed by biopsy.Abdo CT scanGastrocopyBarium enemaBarium follow throughChest X ray2 Abdo ultrasound scansPelvic X rayAll normal. Nothing found. Ive tried anti spasmodics but they dont work.Doc's and specialists seem baffled. Am I going to be OK this really worries me. It don't seem to end and people tell me that my symptoms should wax and wane but they don't.Thanks.Andy.

Hi Andy,Well, you've had alot of the right tests. Is a Gastroscopy and a Colonoscopy or Endoscopy the same thing? If it's not, it would be a good idea to get a Colonoscopy. An Endoscopy wouldn't hurt either.Dizziness sometimes will be related to ear problems. I don't know how to help you except to say that since all of the tests you've had so far have come out okay, I would let it get me down. Maybe the worry is aggravating your symptoms??I'll keep you in my prayers.Take Care,Jleigh------------------How long a minute is, depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on...

Hi.Yes a gastroscopy is a camera into the top of your stomach. I have not had a clonoscopy but a barium enema (an x-ray of the large bowel) and a sigmoidoscopy (telescope to the lower part of the lower bowel). Both where ok as where all the other tests apart from my liver function test.I have pale stool and some degree of dehydration indicated by sweating and a dry throat. Gastro Doc not sure what to do next me thinks?Thanks.Andy.
