Hi I'm a newbie here and have been experiencing IBS D for about 3 years. Docs have checked me inside and out - no answers just a lot of questions and desperately seeking help with the problem. Taking Immodium does not help. Had a few messy accidents - very embarrasing. Tried Doc suggested advice on taking in more fibre - Metamucil. Well...tried it and all I can say is that it didn't work for me. Tried taking fibre cereal - helps a little - just delayed reaction. Don't drink coffee. A couple of cups of tea during the day. Anything you can reccomend would be of great comfort. Have D usually in the AM after eating breakfast. Tried cutting out toast/bread, eat cold cereal, cut out eggs, eat yogurt, etc. Guaranteed 20 minutes later sitting on throne for 10 minutes or more with D! I work so this problem has interfered with my getting to work on time and/or rushing into bathroom when I get there! Please HELP if you can.
