Last time I felt like that, it was the flu. Where even your 'skin' hurts. All the achy joints you mention, too. Do you have a fever. Right side pain is common for GB, along with pain radiating to back, but I never felt soreness in my joints, especially in the neck region. If it doesn't improve soon, I'd get checked out--to rule out anything serious like meningitis.
