I would say over the past year is when I started experiencing symptoms of IBS. I have always been able to maintain my weight at about 125 lbs. I am now at 140. My stomach bloats up so much it looks like I'm 9 months pregnant. I have had 6 b/m's this morning and haven't even eaten yet. When I say b/m's I mean diarrhea. I suffer from anxiety and tremors. I have been to about 8 doctors, all have given me different diagnosis.I finally saw a GI specialist and I have a colonoscopy scheduled for the 16 of Sept. He did tell me that I do have IBS. He said "we are going to go down the throat and up the butt". I was wondering if anyone else experiences vomiting as well? This morning, for example, I got up to get a glass of water. I drank the whole glass, next thing I know I'm running for the bathroom to vomit. I guess I'll find out everything that is going on after my colonoscopy. I don't understand why I'm not losing any weight. I barely eat and with the constant diarrhea and vomiting, why am I gaining weight? Its all in my belly, swollen and hard. I did buy a bottle of fiber supplement yesterday, but yesterday I took 2 pills as directed, and this morning my stomach was HUGE. I know that I have IBS but I feel like there is something else wrong due to the vomiting. I'm frustrated because none of my clothes fit, I can't go into a restaurant, if I take an anti-diarrhea pill, I can't "go" for 3-4 days. I think I will ask my GI dr. to hook me up with a nutrishionist. I've always been able to eat what I wanted, but now, forget about it. I can take 1 bite of a cracker and as soon as I swallow it I instantly have diarrhea.Anyway, this is my first time posting here, hoping to get some advice and possibly make some new friends. These forums are great because it makes you feel less alone.

I don't know what to say about the vomiting, but the diarrhea is an everyday experience I live with too. I just had a colonoscopy Aug 25th. A little advice, if you take MiraLax mix it with 7-Up or Sprite. It is much easier to get down. If you need someone to talk to there are great people here. I'm looking for friends as well. It's nice to know that there are other people who know exactly what you are going through. My wife and son try to help but they have no idea.~Cherokee
