I had giardia when I was roughly 15 years old at a summer camp. After that summer I was never the same digestive wise. Throughout high school and college I went crazy with the symptoms. I had over 10 bowel movements a day as well as tremendous intestinal blouting. For years I thought I was lactose intolerant. I may still be but I believe IBS is the heart of my problem. I felt for years like I was going crazy and that no doctor could help me. For me the following 3 things helped significantly,1) Exercise daily2) A lot of water3) Excessive fiber in your diet, over 30+ grams a dayStill I am not at a point to where I feel totally comfortable.Has anyone had success with St. John's wart?Best wishes,Josh

SYNCOPATED POOCH:"Has anyone had success with St. John's wart?"Yes, I had mine surgically removed.
yuk-yuk-yukSeriously, though, Before experimenting with St. Johns' Wort I am curious....how was your giardiasis treated (antibiotics wise) and what else have you done medically since in pursuit of remission? The answers will make a difference in how we respond to your question.Back later or in am to read.MNL______________ www.leapallergy.com [This message has been edited by Mike NoLomotil (edited 10-19-2001).]
