Hi:I've had this nightmare for many years, and I don't know how to wake up! There was a time in my life when everything was normal until I met IBS.I got constipated and used laxatives for three years ( not everyday) but anyway, now my stomach is complaining with high irritation and I am using NEXIUM tablets. I tried many things. Fruits, vegies, water, exercises but nothing seems to help anymore. Can anybody recommend me please some herbal tea or something for my stomach, so I can start eating normally again until I see the specialist next month. I am losing too much weight and I look as pale as a Zombie.Seriously, if anybody can advise me on something natural to alleviate my stomach irritation I would appreciate it.Thanks a lot!

For bloating pains and trapped gas, I find that Peppermint tea works wonders.
Thank you Chariot, I am drinking Peppermint tea and I am feeling much better. I am eating oats every Morning to improve my constipation but I think this problem is going to be more difficult to fix because it all started with my Hormonal Imbalance problem. I think I have to go back to my Endocrinologist.bye and thanks again.

rose have u given homeopathy a try...u could also try this product called iberogast

I had the stomach irritation thing for a long time and the thing that helped me relieve it was a DGL supplement - which is Licorce Root. You can get it as a pill that you take 20 minutes before eating (at the vitamin store or online), or you can get a licorce root tea which works wonders also. The two things I have found to help with my chronic constipation are:1. Soluble fiber supplement like benefiber or acacia fiber (available at the help for ibs website). If you try this, you need to start with a low dose, like 1/2 a teaspoon twice a day, then increase your dose 1/2 teaspoon every 4th day or so. This will prevent bloating and gas from the fiber.2. A magnesium supplement - 500 mg of magnesium citrate before bed every night.Hope those help.

Thanks, I am going to try everything (one at a time) until I find what works for me.
