What have you tried in the past? Have you noticed any foods that trigger you? Did you just have the surgery, or did you have other evaluations like colonoscopy and upper endoscopy?Oh, and welcome to the board!

Bloating and gas, have you tried probiotics? How much of the heathy diet is raw fruits and veggies and or starchy grains? Even when cooked some veggies can increase gas and some people don't do well with fructose so have to carefully pick fruits and veggies to reduce gas. Starches, particularly wheat and potato are resistant to digestion by humans so can be problematic for some IBSers. Of the starches rice is usually the best, but a lot of healthy diets avoid rice (especially white rice) because it has a high glycemic index value. For gas reduction you actually want the things that go completely into the blood even if that mean you may have blood sugar spikes. You can counter some of that by making sure you have some fat with the grains or just limit the amounts to what you can handle.
