i've had ibs for years now. i guess you could say i've just grown used to it. i still hate it though. but, who actually doesn't? here's my problem: i have bad kidneys and am diabetic. so, taking calcium or most things along those lines is not a good thing. i tried the pills and the chews on separate occasions. i get kidney stones if i have too much calcium. frankly, i'd rather live with getting the D. my doctor tells me to be very careful about my eating habits. i feel some days like i live on immodium, rolaids, emitrol and lactaid. any ideas on help that may just lesson the amount i take? if i know i have nothing to do that day, i go without as much as possible and just stay in the house.

Maybe try cutting out certain food groups to see if that helps? Like lactose, or wheat, or fizzy sugary drinks?
