Hi all , sorry to be so thick, but I am now only eating toast just to see if this will give my system a break, sut still have pain and gurgling. Am I being stupid? It seems everything I read is about what not to eat. so what can I eat. I have c type but "go" pretty regularly, mostly just cramping. Also what is the deal on Milk of Magnesia in the book one page says stay away and another says it may be helpful. I find all these contradictions confusing...yes fiber or some say they can't tolerate fiber. Am I just too impatient> I've read so much the past week and try things but don't see results. The main problem is the abdominal cramping. NO D or C really. sorry to be so confused, Janis

Hi JanisI couldn't agree with you more but be patient (I know that is difficult) when you are in pain.) Believe me I know. I want someone to give me an answer and I'd like it now so the pain will stop.What I did was stop eating for one whole day. Things settled down alittle. The next few days all I ate was a piece of fruit or a piece of toast with a small piece of fruit. Believe me I wasn't going to starve to death. I have a fair amount of weight that I have to take off. ha ha haBy the third day everything was calming down and then I could eat regular again. I am taking a prescription called Hyoscyamine 0.375 MG and if I take two it seems to work.I think that you will find that your symptoms are less severe than some and much more than others. Keep reading you will find a lot of help here.Don't ever worry about complaining or about being confused. We all were to start with.Linda
