I am in a terrible flare up since Tues am..chalked it up to picnic foods..but it will not stop >>> how much Imodium do you take in a bad flare up and how long does it take before the D stops??? i have taken 6 Imodium today with no luck....the other day i took 2 lomotil no dice!!!!!! maybe the flu>>>does imodium or lomotil stop flu diarreha?

Immodium should stop any diarrhea, but sometimes it dosnt work for me either.Normal dose is 2 right after a BM. If 6 a day didnt do it, it aint gonna work!!Sounds like you have some kind if intestinal virus or parasite from food!?
Actually there are lots of people that take way more than 6 a day as a preventative measure!...every day!
I take around 8 if i feel bad, but thats not good. and sometimes it doesn't work for my either. x
