Hi all i'm new here and relatively new to IBS. It started with one big massive attack where i was screaming on the toilet and felt like i wanted to faint, my hands wouldn't move and i thought i was going to die. After that night (about 7 months ago) my bowels have never been the same since and after going to the doctors i was diagnosed with ibs. I get cramps, feel dizzy and nauseas sometimes and on the odd occasion get a big attack which leaves me weak for ages. I also notice that after the big attacks i feel really vulnerable and start crying, does anyone else feel like that? I have now cut out gluten (wheat) from my diet and everything seemed fine for about a month and then tonight ive had a horrible attack with painful spasms and diaria (can't spell).Anywho i have just recently started university and am finding it really hard to cope with it. I just want the pain to go tonight as i'm up early to hand in some work. I just feel so depressed when the pain starts and so weak but thats life now i suppose. I feel better just getting it out to people who understand, thanks xxx

PinkFrog Welcome
Glad you found us. Also glad that you were able to get your symptoms under control for quite awhile. But.. tonight though.. you had an attack. So sorry and yes I think we can all relate to what you feel. I think it is extremely hopeful that you were able to find some symptom management via your diet. And who knows.. maybe something else threw your system off tonight.. but think postively at least you know one thing that helps you! So you are ahead of many of us here that way.Get some good sleep and here's hoping tomorrow is a much better day for you.
