Hi all i'm new here and relatively new to IBS. It started with one big massive attack where i was screaming on the toilet and felt like i wanted to faint, my hands wouldn't move and i thought i was going to die. After that night (about 7 months ago) my bowels have never been the same since and after going to the doctors i was diagnosed with ibs. I get cramps, feel dizzy and nauseas sometimes and on the odd occasion get a big attack which leaves me weak for ages. I also notice that after the big attacks i feel really vulnerable and start crying, does anyone else feel like that? I have now cut out gluten (wheat) from my diet and everything seemed fine for about a month and then tonight ive had a horrible attack with painful spasms and diaria (can't spell).Anywho i have just recently started university and am finding it really hard to cope with it. I just want the pain to go tonight as i'm up early to hand in some work. I just feel so depressed when the pain starts and so weak but thats life now i suppose. I feel better just getting it out to people who understand, thanks xxx
