I'm a 50 yr old male - I have been treated for AADD & depression / anger for close to 10 yrs. Ritilin & Celexa have changed my life I stiil have IBS - have for years -even before the above. Plus I'm sure I must have F M cause I ache all over. Restful Sleep has become my biggest concern. I can sleep anytime (even though I take Rilian)I just recently had a sleep study done & may try the CPAP breathing machine - Hope this helps but it seems weird to do this forever ? I have a older friend who uses one & it sure helps him with snoring & getting better rest.I switched from Prozac to Celexa cause they said to take it at night. (i think it has helped after finding the right dose) not as fatigued now. The IBS thing is aweful & I know I'd feel 100 % better if it was not a part of my life ? Does anyone get relief from enzyme products ? I already spend way too much on prescription drugs even with insurance - in addition to above I have allgeries & take Allegra D & Zocor for high colestoral & I'm adult onset diabetic (now on insulin) I prefer insulin to pills & diet & excercise - otherwise I'm really pretty healthy & only look 40 or less & not over weight 6' 185
except for many bouts with kidney stones in recent years
Like alot of you I search for a medical answer ? But I'm also concerned with all the stuff I take & costs. At least I'm not depressed or angry anymore
& I can do my job and other things in life because I can concentrate so much better. Wish I'd discovered Celexa & Ritilan many years ago. But I was to stubborn & proud to seek help. (plus my kids are almost grown & almost independant)
It amazes me how many of us there are - (That admidt to having problems) & are trying to find answers & how many you meet that don't
You would think the medical professions would have better info & treatments to these things ? I guess they are trying ? But you still wonder if all these kind of things are connected & hope that a magic pill will come along & help, instead of one for everything
Sometimes the more you learn & read the more confused you get Living better chemically

aadd, there is absolutely a connection between sleep apnea and depression, gut dysfunction, gerd, high blood pressure and a host of other ills.i strongly urge you to use the cpap every night. it will give you a longer life and could very well clear up some of your other problems.www.sleepnet.com is an excellent site for information and forums on sleep problems. a poster there named alamo joe has published papers connecting ibs to apnea.
