I have both, internal and external roids.I use a prescription cream called Analpram 1%. It comes with an applicator, so I use it for both types of roids. 4 months ago I was also prescribed Anusol HC 2% suppositories to use 2 a day for 2 weeks which got them under control. The external ones bother me most when I have strained having BM or if I have eaten something spicy the previous day.I have not tried anything over the counter for my internal roids, though.I am type C, but if you are type D, I think the diarrhea is irritating them even more.Hope this helps you narrow down what to do...
