Yup, I have bought Caltrate in Shopper's out here in Calgary. However, any other "generic" calcium will do, as long as it is in the form of calcium carbonate (I am using one from Zellers right now) Make sure there is vitamin D with it, and you might want to avoid any that have magnesium in it. I can cause D is some people (like me
Hope you try it!! It's made a huge difference in my symptoms.

I agree with GI Jane. Here in Winnipeg you can get Caltrate at Shoppers. You can also get that or a generic version at Walmart and Safeway.
In Vancouver I *know* Shoppers Drug Mart and Safeway have it.What kind of writer, djm? there are several writers here. I'm a tech writer, myself.[This message has been edited by Rhetana (edited 05-02-2001).]

Hello, Yes, we have Caltrate here in Ontario at the Shoppers Drug Mart I go to. I bought myself another brand of Calcium with magnesium and Vitamin D though, plus extra magnesium for my IBS C. Good Luck Chris

Thanks Rhetana for the writers' thread. Hmm, makes you wonder if writers are predisposed to this kind of condition. Surely, working in the tech business with its ups and downs is not meant for someone with weak knees (or a bad stomach
