when i have an exacerbation, i am sooo fatigued i can barely do the normal day to day things. some days i stay in bed all day. it gets me so upset because normally i am an energetic person who loves to be out in the sun etc..having a good time. but i always know when a bout is coming from the tiredness. is this common? anyone else?

Hi!When I get that "so tired I feel sick" feeling, I end up having a bout of IBS-D. Sometimes I go too long and too hard and don't stop until I am done in. I have found that i need to get to bed for the night before I feel that way. Then I do better the next morning. Since I have been taking two Caltrate every day at lunch, I have felt 90% better. I still have to avoid that severe tiredness though. Hope this helps.wpmom

I too get very tired. I have learned to just give in and lay around on the couch all day. I usually feel better later or definately the next day. Luckily I am not working anymore so I can do this. I used to push myself when I felt really tired then I would just make myself sicker longer.
