Wow...I am so amazed, I almost feel normal. I have slight bloating and discomfort attributed to being C, but it is soft and moving. I was severe C, a few days ago, but it broke through and now I seem to be fine. The only real pain that I have, seems to be momentarily before, during, and after a BM. I do have slight spasms but it seems to controlled with Bentylol and I am nauseated, so I take Gravol. IS IT POSSIBLE that I have found the right combination for my IBS-A??????? The last time I had severe pain was Friday, so I had to take 10mg of morphine, previous to that was Monday. I do not want to get too excited because I HAD SEVERE IBS since May or June (2009) that effected me DAILY. I never knew what my body was going to do 95% of the time, so I was either tied to my bathroom, or my couch. I am a little paranoid, or skeptical about how I am currently feeling, but I am enjoying it. Realistically, I am confused because I haven't changed anything, within my controls. 3 months ago, approximately, I had my antidepressents changed from Cipralex to Cymbalta. Last week, I was officially put on long term disability. Next week, February 4th, I have an appointment with a GI specialist, been waiting for a very loooooong time. I am just wondering if I should assume that I finally have my life back, or should I take a wait'n see approach........Carol

IBS does have a tendency to come and go on its own for no apparent reason.I would enjoy the times when things are better, and if they get worse again remind yourself you had better times. Getting mired it "it is bad again it will always be bad from now on" tends to cause the kinds of stress and worries that will keep it going longer than it would on its own.Sometimes it takes awhile for an antidepresant to kick in (both for depression and for IBS) so it may be the change in medication finally kicked in.
