Just started on Caltrate Plus...

Joe,I know everyone has different initial reactions to the Caltrate. I had a similar experience to yours the first couple of days. It was like my colon was cleaning itself out. It was REALLY nasty. But after two days, I was back to the most normal I had been in a while. You will probably need to experiment with the dosage to see what it right for you. I have settled on the annoying schedule of a whole pill one day and a half-pill the next. I found this works best for me. If you feel you need more than one pill, split them up between morning and night because your body can only absorb so much calcium at one time.Good luck. -------------------Dan

I followed the directions on the back and am taking two tablets for now. ONe in the morning before a small breakfast, and one in the evening before dinner.I have read on here that others have taken up to 3-4 tablets per day (at least one per meal). I'll stick with 2/day for a while to see how it goes and adjust accordingly.Joe

I had an experience like yours in the beginning, and then I got super constipated about a week into it, so I had to adjust the dosage and now am way way better.Good luck!
