This is gross! Embaressed to ask, but need to. I have been on antibiotics due to having my widom tooth sugically taken out, I noticed my tongue burning last night, and looked in the mirror, it was white, went away when I brushed, I think I developed oral thrush from the antibiotic, never had it before. What do i do about it? No car today to see DR. and office is closed until Monday.

Dear Mustang,This happens to me on a regular basis whenever I take antibiotics. There is a med. called unofficially, can't remember the name right now, but if you ask for "swish and swallow" they will most likely know what you mean. Clears up the yeast infection quickly, however it is kinda gross. Perhaps the doctor will call it in w/o seeing you.Is your toungue or throat painful, or have bumps?I know it really stinks, and I hope you can get it cleared up soon.Peace,Karly

I finally got a hold of my DR. He is going to send me in a prescription to the pharmacy, he said I had a yeast infection.
Must be from the antibiotics. YUCK! My tongue is kinda sore, and it goes away when I brush. Geeeze, one thing after another.

okay if you want you could take a strong form of enteric coated garlic and get a powder form of acidophillus and swirl it round your mouth before downing it.I am not saying you have thrush but this will help if you do and if you don't both these things are good for your health anyway. At home for remedies get yoghurt and a clove of garlic, crush it up and bare the taste!
