I just found out that it is not the lactase - but the protein( casein) in dairy products- so then Can anyone suggest what I could eat for dairy( soy bothers me)- what about goats milk products, or kefir?? Help!!thanks
Hi,if it is really the protein of cows milk what causes you trouble, than goats milk or sheep milk may be ok for you.Cow goat and sheep share some of the proteins but not all so there is a good chance that you can use their milk and products threreof.Best thing to find out is to try, if your intolerance to the cows milk protein allows you to survive a flop.Roland
You could try cashew or almond nut milk, high in calcium and they taste nice. Or rice milk, good for cereal. They make oat milk as well. I'm intolerant to dairy and can't tolerate a lot of soya. I use coconut milk for cooking and baking, sunflower margarine, and nut milks and butters.
