somebody told me today that liquid paraffin in orange juice was beneficial for the c type of ibs sufferer. As anyone heard of that one before? I am going to try it, but would like to know if anyone else has tried it..........and does it work! just the thought of drinking it, urrrgh, turns my stomach, but I will try anything once in the hope of it doing some good.

Well bluebird, I've heard of it as an old remedy that was used when my grandparents were kids (yeah, in the 60s
) but I'm glad to say I've never tried it!But presumably it worked!

Hi BluebirdI've tried l.p. -- it does work but it's not something to take regularly and apparently it can be bad if it gets into your lungs (?) Suggest you try other options.Roz

Oh dear!......it looks like I made a bit of a faux pas in my earlier posting, I am refering to the "blanked out" word. Where I come from it is a slang word for a cigarette but I now realise it must mean something quite different in other parts of the world. Sincere apologies ( grovel grovel ) :)------------------
