Have you ever learned any stress reduction techniques.Unfortunately you probably need to practice them during periods with less stress, so they aren't as helpful in the moment, but here is the instructions for the relaxation response.http://mentalhealth.about.com/cs/stressman...t/a/relresp.htmIn the short term try taking a nice hot bath maybe with a cup of peppermint tea while you are in there. The heat tends to reduce pain, the peppermint can as well. Play some relaxing music and when you start working the stress just focus on the music and the warmth. The mind will go back to the stress/anxiety but that is OK and just remind it you are supposed to be listening to the music and feeling the warmth.

A few weeks back i was hospitalised with weight loss and nausea and severe anxiety. My weight had dropped to 56kg and i was in a right old state. They started me on mitrazapine 15mg for the anxiety. Mitrazapine is also known to act on the gut.Today i weighed myself and i came in at nearly 66kg! My anxiety has gone and my IBS symptoms are minimal.Mitrazapine works fro me so far!
