To me the thought sounds horrible, but am wondering if I could get relief if I went on some sort of macrobiotic diet. Any thoughts or advise??

Most of the proponants of Macrobiotic diets would probably conclude it would help you (but I think that is more a belief than an evidence based idea).I think whether it would help any given IBSer would vary.It does tend to be a fairly healthy diet, but depending on what triggers your IBS it may or may not be for you. http://www.diet-i.com/macrobiotic-diet.htm describes it.If you are one that a high fiber diet really helps in easing symptoms it may be a good approach, it is by design a high fiber diet.K.
