I know we did this back a few months ago, but thought since so many new people have joined lately we could run this again for old times sake!!!What prescription and OTC's are you taking? What are your main symptoms?1> .5 to 1mg klonopin most days of the week2> 75mg Effexor (just started)3> 50 mg trazodone for insominaI have mostly abdominal pain daily, lean toward D category, bloated feeling seems to be most of the discomfort for me all day, meals or no meals... BM's don't make any difference in the feeling either. Also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Depression from feeling bad everyday!!!I walk 4 miles a day 7 days a week. I am taking,Prilosec 20mg 1 a daysynthroid .125 1 a dayI get severe upper abdominal pain mainly around my menstrual cycle. So severe it is debilitating.I am IBS-C. I can go up to 6 days without a BM. I have increased fiber but nothing has happened yet.I drink about 2 gallons of water a day. I have watched what I eat and have lost 20 lbs in 2 months.I do not work out on a daily routine but I do run after my 6yr old, 5 yr old and 18 month old.

I am a 30-year veteran of IBS. I am currently taking each day:Multivitamin with minerals2 tabs Citracal, with foodPremarin1 tab Ferrous Gluconate (iron)1 mg. Folic Acid1 tab Caltrate at bedtime (without food)In addition, I take 6 tabs of Methotrexate each week (for my rheumatoid arthritis)I have type D. Usually I can control my symptoms by chewing my food to a pulp (until its partially digested) before swallowing. When I get lazy and don't do this, I get boiling in my intestines, distention, some cramping and then loose stools and lots of gas. When the IBS is really bad, I get anal leaking and fecal urgency.I don't get those really bad passing-out, cold-sweat kind of cramps anymore, like I used to when I was first diagnosed.

What I take:(1) Caltrate Plus in the morning with breakfast(4) Ultra Chromoton Plus - 2 in the am and 2 in the pmUse to be C for years with lots of gas (didn't think there was anything wrong, thought it was normal and was to embarrased to ask the Dr.). Started having D in August of 1999 after taking Antibotics. Now, I pretty much have regular BM's. Just getting over a few weeks of increased symptons, but seem to be getting control again.Regards,HJ

I am mainly C.Take 3 Tablespoon of pure psyllum, one each meal (no sugar, no color, no flavor added)One pill of Aloe Vera with each meal.Dicetel tabs (one with Breakfast) for pain and bloating.1 gallon of water per day.Excercise 5 days a week.

time-released Vitamin C (1 gm)time-released Vitamin B complexmulti-vitaminlycopodium 1M <== homeopathic stuff(every 6 days for me, or as needed if stressed out)(really helps me to get rid of the gas build up, bloating, and to properly eliminate)

i haven't been on here in months, trying to graduate w/ all this ###### is kind of hard.250 mg metronidazole once a day2 caps acidophilus (twinlab)per day2 10 mg's bentyl per day...also smoke a lot of pot, which helps it. was too afraid to post that here before but it's the truth. i'll probably get flamed for saying it b/c i know the attitude of this bb towards recreational drug use but, whatever...i know some people out there have experienced the same thing, so...hi to anyone who remembers my sickly young ass...struggling as always,yesca

Right now just Immodium on days where I leave the house! I ran out of Caltrate and for some dumb reason I keep forgetting to get more. But I will soon and start taking 3 or 2 a day like I used to. I've been doing really well though as of late!Jennifer
