I have had issues with cc most of my life and have tried everything under the sun! I’ve not been diagnosed with IBS but it sure fits my symptoms. I have recently started taking Metamucil as a more natural route (was previously on Senna which was not sustainable) and whilst it helps with BM I have since been suffering with so much gurgling noises in my stomach, loud constant and ongoing all day long! I never had this before. But the scarier thing is I also suddenly have a pain in my mid right abdomen that won’t go away! Im so concerned about it I’m having ultrasounds and CT scans…and then I came across this forum…now Im wondering could the cause of this sudden pain be from Metamucil? Why would I have pain in my right abdomen from Metamucil?
Would love to hear any advice or stories from anyone who had encountered anything similar after taking Metamucil?

Update on this! Abdomen pain turned out to be kidney stones and moderate faecal impacting so was prescribed Movicol. My issue is it doesn’t matter what laxative I seem to use I get haemmorhoids and they bleed…A LOT! I can’t seem to catch a break, if I don’t take a laxative I’m constipated, if I take a laxative I have bleeding hammerhoids…has anyone else had this issue and found an answer at all to what works to have a regular BM without the haemmorhoids!?
Metamucil is fiber. If you have poor digestion it will slow you down even more.
