Everyone is different but things to look out for if it is not stress related:
- changes in weather (for me it's going from high pressure to low)
- amitriptaline should reduce your migraine symptoms but if you're taking it every day, check with a doctor to see if this making things worse.
- might be food (keep a food diary, especially notice citrus fruits, chocolate, alcohol, caffeine)
- check your sleep patterns (lack of sleep, sleeping at different times, over-sleep) try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day
- don't take pain killers more than three times a month if you can
- remember, migraines themselves can give you bad stomach problems.
If you're getting regular migraines you may need both a preventer (like a beta blocker) to take every day plus one for each attack (like a triptan) - check with your doctor especially if you have heart problems, or asthma, you may need different migraine treatments.
