Is there anyone out there like me, whos only major symptom of IBS is nausea?...how do you deal? For me, it's always in the mornings, and sometimes during the rest of the day, especially after I eat (it doesn't seem to be dependent on a certain type of food...anything I eat/drink, can cause it to come back, even water). My doc is constantly telling me it's stress related, that I need to get rid of stress. And I'm trying, but it's not working. And besides, I even get nauseated at times when I'm not stressed.I know so many people have it worse than I do, and for a longer period of time than I have, but I'm just so tired. I used to be a fighter, never letting anything get me down...but now I'm losing my will to do anything, even get up out of bed.sorry for the rant...this board is the only place I can come to right now. I think even my parents are getting tired of my tears.

I have been so sick lately with the same problem. It is getting harder to deal with. The last doctor said that the phenegran was the strongest medication there was and he couldn't help me. I have an appt. with a new doctor next week. If he tells me the same I don't feel like there is any hope for me. But till tonight I didn't really think anyone knew what I was going through. Now I know we are not alone, even though I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I hope you find relief, I'll pass on anything I learn.

I've often had a slightly nauseous feeling in the morning, what I do is drink gingertea (I take Twinings Lemon and Ginger tea) in the morning every morning at breakfast and it does seem to help me.Fay

Hi, I'm new here, and I have just been reading the forums to see what other people have been suffering....kind of mainly to get the gist of what this IBS is as I have been diagnosed with it on Monday last week.I too have been suffering nausea for like 6 weeks only in the mornings, and pain in my abdomen. The nausea was accompanied with vomitting in my case, and it even got to the stage that no body could tell me what was wrong with me and so the doc ended up writing to my work and telling them I could only do 5 hour days, starting in the afternoon cos the nausea was that bad. It was only last week that a specialist diagnosed me with IBS, and has now put me on a restricted diet. I still feel nauseaous most days, but am trying to be happier within myself. They tried anti-nausea tablets with me, but I just bought them all back up....I am also at my wits end about this.....grrr....if u find a solution please post it here....thanks in a advance

Sanaz:I had unrelenting nausea last year. Went through many tests where they discovered I have H.pylori, a bacterial infection in the mucosal lining of the stomach. After a 2 week treatment of Prevpak, and taking Nexium every day, (also have GERD), no more nausea. Talk to your doctor about this. Can be detected by blood test.Kristy

Yesterday I just couldn't deal with the nausea any more (my doc is hopeless)so I went to the chemist and explained the situation. She recommended Motilium 10, which is domperidone. I took one pill and within 8 minutes (no lie) I felt so much better. After taking one colofac in the afternoon, I felt the best I've been for the past 2 months! And even today I feel good (well, stomach aches a bit, but not like it has been)So I highly recommend this.

I also get horrible morning nausea, often ending in my throwing up. Peppermint tea has changed my mornings completely. I didn't used to be able to drink water, eat anything, or even get ready for my day before I threw up each morning. But if I drink a mug of tea in the morning it helps the nausea go away. Also, I found that after I stopped chewing sugarless gum my nausea decreased dramatically. I read an article about sorbital (in the gum) causing some people to react poorly...so I gave it a try and it's been amazing. Hope that can help, or at least give you something to try!
