OK, I'm new here, but I think that my symptoms fit with IBS, so I'm looking for guidance. REally very miserable right now, so any support is very welcome.I have nagging pain and discomfort for most of the day, but can generally ignore it. What I can't ignore is the waking times. When I first wake up, there is no pain or discomfort. After a few minutes, the first twinges start, and after a while, I have real hot pain in my central lower abdomen. If I stay in bed, then nausea kicks in. As soon as I get to the toilet, and basically clear out everything that is annoying my gut, then things settle down, and I can get through the day.So, does this fit with other people's experience, or do I have something that is unlike IBS???Looking for help hereChris

Hi chris, morning is the worst for me, but I can go up to ten times before i leave the house and my guts STILL won't settle. Hopefully, you have a bug or something, I have ibsd, but no nausea. It's a good sign that you can ignore it but i hope your pain settles down anyway.

Hi Chris,Welcome to the board. Your symptoms sound much like mine. I dread mornings because I feel so sick. I end of using the toilet two or three times in the morning every day, and the rest of the day I am okay. The burning sensation could be acid, but I would check with your doctor. Mornings for me are the worst as I am an IBS-D sufferer. Try drinking some water when you wake up and stretch to get the blood flowing. If you can manage eating some toast first and then a heavier meal later it has worked for me. Good luck!Robert
