hey all!my question is...does anyone else get pains after laying down for long periods of time?? i have IBS and i only get the stomach and back pains 4-5 hours after i lay down in bed/ its like a biological clock of pain that goes off every morning. i take medication to help relieve the pain but sometimes it doesnt work and some days it does???????? could anyone offer their opinions on why it occurs at this time and if anyone experiences similar pains..thank you very much.....

Hello Curtis - I know exactly what you are talking about, but I have this feeling 24/7. I do take medication to relieve the pain, but sometimes it makes me so sleepy that I try not to take it as much. Then I have to play catch up with the pain. I too do NOT sleep well at all. My doctor prescribed Sonata and I take this at a low dose and it helps me sleep. I have two little one's to take care of too. Right here with you!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I wish I knew the answer to that. I cannot understand why lying down would make you "cramp"...but it does me. I wake up at the exact same time every morning and feel these spasms. You would think it you are sleeping and "at rest"...that wouldn't happen. I wonder if anyone on here knows anything about this.
