Is there a possible connection between a mouth rash (dry itchy rash on the edge of the lips at each side of the mouth) and seemingly random urgent attacks of diarrhea? Thanks.

If the mouth rash started after the diarrhea, then my guess would be that you are dehydrated. When you get attacks like that it is VITAL that you increase your intake of non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated liquids. Try upping your water intake and see if this doesn't at least take care of the chapped mouth.Good luck and keep us updated.

Thanks DGG. I thought it might be bacteria or allergy related but I will try upping my water intake and see if that helps.
