teevee:Welcome to the BB. I unfortunately cannot offer you any help but I am sure you will get some soon. The UNC "Chat With The Experts" scheduled for last night was cancelled and has been rescheduled for next Tuesday September 16 from 8-10pm EST. The topic to be discussed is "Unexplained Nausea". The session is open to the public and you might want to attend. The chats include a presentation followed by a discussion where questions can be asked. The sessions I have attended have been very interesting, informative and helpful. Here is a link to the UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders where you can connect to their "chats". http://www.med.unc.edu/medicine/fgidc/

Hi teevee,Most of the time I experience nausea when I get up in the mornings (similar to morning sickness). It usually happens when I have a bout of diarrhea too. Sometimes I get nauseous right after eating as well. I often do swell up below my rib cage, but not all the time. It usually happens if I wait too long to eat. Then I have to lay down on my tummy to get rid of all the air by burping a lot
It gets very painful at times. I have IBS D/C and GERD... Great combination
So, don't feel alone in this. This is a great message board where you can find a lot of comfort and reassurance. Blessings

Hi teevee,I also get the morning sickness. I have to move rather slowly when it hits and take small sips of water. This does help a bit along with eating something, either crackers or sometimes chocolate. The bloating comes after I use the bathroom and has been hanging around for most of the day recently so I know how you feel.I just found this site and am already glad I did.I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this.

Hey. Can't say that I have any bloating, but I do have nausea nearly every day. It gets worse at night and wakes me up often.
I've tried tons of prescription meds for this but the only thing that seems to help is lots of water and Peppermint Altoids! Good luck and feel better.
