HelloI really need advice, I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. I wouldn't really classify myself as being constipated or having diarreah. I have more of a problem with having the urge to have a bowel movement. In order for me to be able to do so, I have to make my stomach feel nervous or anxious, if I just relax and don't think about it I won't be able to go. Does anyone else have this problem? Then throughout the day I get really gassy and bloated and I have a feeling like I need to go to the bathroom, not really an urge, but when I try to go I can't, unless if my stomach is anxious feeling. When I do go to the bathroom, which is every morning because I make myself, everything is normal, my stools aren't loose or hard. I also have a feeling of being incomplete, I never feel like I'm completely relieved. I feel like I've tried everything, I drink lots of water, exercise regularly, I have taken fiber, Zelnorm, magnesium, fennel and peppermint teas, flax seed oil, prune juice, for the most part I eat fairly healthy. For the past month I have been taking digestive enzymes and probiotics, but i haven't noticed a difference, good or bad. I do know that things feel especially worse when I'm stressed (which is most of the time) and around my period. If anyone could give me any advice I would really appreciate it. Has anyone found relief through hypnotherapy with symptoms like mine, I have been considering that. I also have an appointment with a GI on Tuesday, I just hope he's not like every other doctor I've seen, in a rush and putting me into the category of IBS because they don't know what else to do with me. If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them!!!
