I am currently doing a study in VA BEACH for diarehaa prodominent IBS. I started the study medication about a week ago.. just so you'll know there is hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!my daily loosening of my belt..NOPE adjusting that seatbelt so it doesnt hurt as bad..NOPE!wanna drink a beer? NO PROBLEMstressfull day? WHO CARES!not to be vulgar..but stools are consistent, and no extra air!This drug is still in the testing phase..but as a test subject (besides the extra head growiing out of my neck) this new drug is going to help alot of people!

What I worry about with any new drug that comes out, is what about the long term side effects? They can't predict how it will affect you in the long run until people have been on it for a long time to find out. It's great that new drugs are being developed to help fight IBS, but personally I prefer to take them as infrequently as possible. It's like choosing the lesser of 2 evils in some cases... whether the symptoms you're treating are worse than the side effects the medication has.Glad to hear something is working for you though
