I was prescribed a new med call SYMAX-DUOTAB about 30 days ago for IBS-D (I've have IBS now for over 20 years) This symax duotab med is suppose to regulate (calm down the colon) for more regular movements. The info is that one half of the pill dissolves immediatly and the other half over the next 12 hours (1 Tab 2x per day). The first two weeks I was getting C with pressure to go 4-6 times per day. Well as usuall after about 4 weeks I'm back to the big D and the immodiums.Has anyone tried this Symax duotab and most important has it worked! (BTY bentyl, levsin, librax, donnatal all don't work long term don't know why)Thanks

I never heard about this medicine, but I tried Dicetel and it made me feel considerably worse.Imodium does ssem to work, but it also gives me some extra discomform in lower bowel after the movement.
