Hi everyone, I am new to this website. I have been having IBS symptoms for the past year but have not seeked medical attention until the past few months. It seems like I have diarrhea at least 4-5x a week. I get bloated after each meal and I can actually hear my digestive tract working, no need to check with a stethascope for my bowel sounds. At first I thought I was lactose int. but it seemed that some times I could drink a glass of milk and it wouldn't effect me and other times I would be in the bathroom within the hr. I see a Gastro Md on Monday morning. My dad died of esph/stomach cancer and my grandpa died of colon cancer, so I am concerned of both of them also. Well, I will keep in touch. Take care, Lynn

Welcome, me too. I can eat a happy meal on MOnday and be fine but eat it on Thursday and be on the pot ALL night. I gave up. Doesn't matter what I eat, doesn't matter if I am stressed or not. I go whenever and wherever. This IBS is aweful. I hate it.My Dad and his Mom and Sister all had colon cancer so I know the scare you feel too.Well take care and these boards are great. So NICE to know you are not alone and you get some really good advice on here. Take care and keep in touchKat
Thanks kitkat17. I had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy done this am. The drinking part was the worst part of the entire thing. Just talking about it makes me nauseated. They strtched my esphagus, took 2 biopsys. MD said I had some polyps also. I get the results in 5-7 days. I will keep in touch. Thanks for the response.
