Funny you should post this, Eric, I just ordered a test through Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratory(via crohns.net) that includes the test mentioned above, as well as analyses for dysbiosis(low beneficial bacteria) and possible parasites."Great Smokies Gut Immunology""Evaluates immunological imbalance specific to gastrointestinal tract inflammatory disease activity. Calprotectin is effective in distinguishing IBD, IBS and gastrointestinal neoplasm. Eosinophil Protien X offers increased sensitivity for evaluating inflammatory disease activity and for predicting relapses in patients with IBD. Individual Components: Calprotectin Eosinophil ProteinPrice:$170.00 http://www.crohns.net/Merchant2/merchant.m...Product_Count=9 The "gut immunology" test is included in what I ordered: Great Smokies Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA) & Parasitology 2.0 http://www.crohns.net/Merchant2/merchant.m...Product_Count=1

In case someone's interested, here's more info on the test I ordered:"(CDSA) & Parasitology 2.0 uses advanced GI biotechnology to evaluate digestion, absorption, pancreatic function, and inflammation, in addition to bacterial balance, yeast, and parasite infection. This profile features exclusive new markers for assessing irritable bowel syndrome, sub-mucosal inflammation, colorectal cancer risk, pancreatic insufficiency, and occult infection." http://www.gsdl.com/assessments/findsystems/gastro.html
