hey everyone, I'm new to the discussion as well as to the web. (it's extremely addicting) I'm a 28 yr old female who has been diagnosed with ibs for 6yrs although symptoms are increasingly getting worse for the past 1 1/2 yrs. I've had all the standard tests, barium enema, blood tests, upper GI, and the ever popular colonoscopy. The most recent results showed an inflammation in the esophagus as well as the colon. I've tried librax, modulon, elavil, dicetel, chinese herbal treatments and of coarse the reliable never leave home without it immodium. I'm currently in a drug comparison study A new drug called aloestron is in it's final stage of testing. Unfornately, as luck would have it I got the modulon. Figures! This new drug is "supposed" to work wonders for ibs. Any tips out there to help. Going crazy staying at home all the time. Thanks!!
