I have suffered with IBS for over 30 years. I was Diagnosed with a "spastic colon" when I was 16. Over the years I have had several abdoinal surgeries due to endometriosis and therefore I have some adhessions as well. My Dr. Has told me to take metamucil and swiss kriss for constipation. I also take librax for pain. Now I feel that my Dr. is tired of me and keeps saying "you have to bulk up and find a happy medium." I think that happy medium is a new Dr. I have been going to him for 15 years now. I need the name of a good patient Dr. in Northern NJ. I can not ake the bloating, I don't know what to eat anymore. Is there anyone out there from Northern NJ? Help!

Welcome to the BB
That's exactly what a surgeon said to me 20 odd years ago "you have a spastic colon" - at the time I didn't have problems with IBS at all and didn't have a clue what he was on about
I then got Campylobacter and I soon knew what a spastic colon was
I'm sure someone on here will be able to recommend a good Dr to you - pointless me suggesting anyone as I live in the UK. Mind you, some of the Dr's I've seen over the years, I wouldn't take my cats to! Good luck.
