stardaz,I find exercise really helps when I suffer from C - it seems to relax the muscles and help me go.I guess if you get the urge while exercising - thats a good thing and you should take notice of it and try to pass a BM there and then don't hold it in - that can make things worse.K has covered the main aspects of what to do to relieve C symptoms, you may also want to try taking some magnesium as its a natural remedy for flatulence and spasmodic pain (basically its a natural laxative).Try to increase you fiber and water intake slowly and after about a month you should notice an improvement.The important thing to remember is to drink plenty of water with your fiber intake to make your stools soft and bulky otherwise they end up like rabbit pellets.Good Luck,Clair
