Hi everyone, im new to these forums but i'm certainly not new to IBS.I'm 23 and suffered with IBS-D for the past 5 years or so. I was diagnosed about a year and half back after having cameras, dyes and needles placed in every orifice i have, only to be told "yea, uve got IBS"To date ive been on many different meds from probiotics to imodium and at the moment, the doc has me on Colofac (mebeverine) but the side affects are far from pleasant.I've kept food diaries and and restricted myself from most food groups to try to narrow it down but unfortunately I have had no success, its just something i have to try to learn to live with!!Socialising isnt easy, but I try my hardest to not let it take over my life and try not to let people down (also the fact that I know where every toilet in the north of england is helps)It hasnt been easy, some days/weeks are harder than others (as im sure you are all aware,) but its a real boost to find somewhere where people really understand what your going through (and why I may have 2 toilets rolls in my car at all times haha.) Friends and family have been supportive but as you know, because they dont experience it, it can be very hard for them to fully understand what your going through.Basically I just wanted to say hello and thank you, for a long last i can meet like minded people who really understand what your going through! Thanks everyone
