I was contacted by Novartis Pharmaceutical today with an offer to meet with IBS sufferers in Toronto. They would ideally like to meet with us this Wednesday, March 1, in the evening.Novartis is doing clinical studies of a new drug called Zelmac. Zelmac is an 5-HT4 partial agonist, ie: it controls the levels of serotonin in the gut. The drug is meant for C-type IBS sufferers.Novartis is interested in getting feedback from sufferers with respect to the medications and support that you are curently receiving.If you are in the Toronto area and are interested and available Wed. Mar. 1 in the evening, please send me email at ibs###ibsgroup.org asap. I told them that I would get back to them by Tuesday at noon.If we cannot organize ourselves in time then we will organize another date/time.Jeff

It looks like it might just be a quick meeting to introduce each other. I believe it was too short notice to get a large group together so I am meeting Novartis by myself.I'll report back on my findings.J*
