Hello all, I was just wondering if excessive gas is one of the symptoms. I also have C and D. But the thing that bothers me the most are the cramps and gas. They interfere with daily life so much, is their any good pills out there, like gas-x. Would that work?

For me, the treatment for excess gas is hot soaks in a tub. It seems to relax me and I can then let loose. A roommate was in the basement under the bathroom once when I was doing this. He said farts in water above his head sounded like the building was going to collapse. We had a great laugh over it. Simethacone is really the only otc med I have found that has worked, and the docs have no clue how to treat gas. "Suffer" is their typical response. I also have chronic ulcers, and when they are acting up gas gets worse. Good luck.Maggie------------------Praying for a cure for this NASTY IBS!
