Anyone experienced the use of Ortho Evra - the contraceptive patch? Dr. wants to put me on it because I'm terribly anemic and he wants to stop my periods until I decide on the hysterectomy.The bc pill (even tho low in estrogen) kept my blood pressure high. I'm wandering if this patch might cause the same problem. Dr. says no because it does not pass through liver as pills do.

I assumed that the patch did the same as the pill, but your doctor would know more than me. I tried it for about two or three weeks, but at the same side effects as the BC pills (bloating, some pain and depression). I have endo and IBS.
