Guys. I'm miserable. At the moment I keep doing those lovely ring stinging bm's. I'm not C, not incredibly D (they have that lovely Mr Whippy consistancy) and my poor old bottom HUUURRRTTTSSS!! It hurts all day. I've tried all the usuals I can think of, valesline, hemm cream, I just want the pain of it to stop. It kinda feels like a stinging IE feeling. Anyone have any idea's why we produce these bum burners? Or any tips on how to help it once we have? I usually only have it happen a couple of times a month but lately it's become my usual morning habit
Thanks for listening. I needed to vent. DH looked at me like I was quite mad when I told him

I wonder if that stuff.... what is it? Anbesol or Oragel for mouth irritation would work on the bum? It's got analgesic properties. That's the worst kind of pain too because it hurts when you walk, it hurts when you sit, it even hurts when you lay on your belly!!!!! Ever tried sitting in a bath of Epsom salts? I've done that before and it helped a bit.
i dont have any tips on how to help it but omg im with you on it! i had it really bad on thursday, 10 times to the toilet, all runny and burning my a**! stressing that it wasnt going to go away before i had to be at work at lunchtime! argh
hope you feel better soon xXx

I know what you mean!! I usually only eat potatoes and chicken so don't tend to get it often, but yesterday i went out to lunch with Simon. Had a cajun chicken and pasta dish with a cream sauce (YUM
) which was fine last time i had it. Quite mild and tasty. Must have had a different chef yesterday coz i think he slipped some chilli in. Mouth lips and other parts a fire!!!

OOOOWWWW!! Can't handle chilli at all! Poor you Lisa! Awww guys, I'm sorry some of you are suffering right along with me
Today hasn't been too bad yet but I'm having those lovely burny gripy tummy pains, NOT happy. I'm supposed to be going out later to meet my Grandma (whom I haven't seen in 6 years and has never met my daughters). I KNEW I'd feel like rubbish for it! I do however suspect it's my anti dep doing this to me. It's been mucking round with my hormones and it still is
despite having halved the dose but my doctor won't let me come off it until I've given it 3 weeks on the lower dose. It's a waste of time though, it's causing pain, zits, sore boobs and not helping with the anxiety or slight depression at all! I tend to put these bum burners down to hormones so I'm thinking that's what it is. I get them usually around my period but not usually at other times. Blooming doctors, I wish they listened to us sometimes
He's usually an awesome doc
On top of that I'm all stressed cause my puter is running like a bucket and I'm trying to reformat. Spent about 6 hours yesterday backing stuff up and I KNOW I'll have missed heaps that I won't know I need until I don't have it!Hope all of you bum burning buddies are feeling a bit better today
And thanks for the sympathy!

I have this regularly as I suffer from D and I have hemmies and fissures. My doc gave me some cream called Calmoseptine. It has zinc, calamine and menthol in it. It brings on an instant cooling sensation and really sooths the area more than any cream I have ever tried - and I have tried them all.

It's cleared up for the last 2 days, no doubt it will be back sometime
Dana, thanks for that, I will ask my doctor about it at my next appointment

I use vasaline. But since I used antibiotics for SIBO its gone. Im guessing its associated with the balance of flora in the large intestine, which no doubt has change since the antibiotics.

OOOOOH you poor duck - have you been eating spicey food? mind, I sometimes get these even when I haven't and it usually leads to a water infection too. I tell you - I go and "bland" out my diet with some Greek yog (can't ever spell but you get my drift!!) and that seems to do the trick but it is miserable.Screamer - have to tell you - was at home all day today - Soph has a tummy bug - ring on the door bell and who was there but an adorable 12 week old tricolour sheltie pup called "Archie" - belongs to a neighbours daughter. Milo absolutely adored him but couldn't figure out why he was so microscopic - totally molecular. Want him NOW!!!!!!!! Hubby won't entertain the idea of another one but you can drool can't you.Get well soon.Sue xx
Ever try Bag Balm? Is is used to put on the udders of animals. I have seen it in Walmart i nthe pet supply section. it works for me. There use to be a really good cream called "comfortine ointment". I have not seen it in quite a while so I use other creams.

Awww, Sue SO cute! I fell in love with a pomeranian at my local shelter. He's just adorable. Sadly I just cannot afford a dog (although DH offered to buy me one for my birthday, God love him). The bum burners have passed, no spicy food for me EVER! Can't handle it in any way shape or form. I'll give the greek yoghurt a try though. Thanks for the tip. LOL Milo must have looked so cute trying to figure out why there was an itty bitty dog there!Nath, thanks for the theory. I've been on antibiotics recently, didn't change anything for me though
dbac, thanks for the suggestions but we don't have Walmart and as I live in Aus probably not those products either
Thanks for trying to help though.
