Hello everyone...I've been dealing w/ all these crazy IBS symptoms. I've had a colonoscopy, CT scan w/ and w/out contrast, an abdominal ultrasound. They've been able to detect some fatty liver and the other studies have come back normal. They do however think it's IBS.I also have lots of gas and try to make myself burp thinking that will make it better. I worry that I continue to feel lots of pressure on my left abdomen. Also, when I bend down I feel a painful side stitch. Is this normal w/ IBS? Have you guys had this painful side stitch when bending down or pushing down on your left side?Manito2000

Pain is a required symptom for IBS, so technically everyone with an IBS diagnosis has some sort of pain or discomfort. Yours sounds pretty typical. People often find pressure of any kind on the belly makes a tender colon send pain signals. Some people have no pain, no bloating, no urgency but may have functional diarrhea or functional constipation which is basically IBS without the pain.
