I've had IBS-D for about 30 years. In the last 6 months had 3 acute pancreatitis attacks. All scans, MRI, MRCP, US, CT show a clear gallbladder, but they want to remove it due to possible microlithiasis (crystals). Has anyone with IBS-D had their GB removed and had good results? Improvement in IBS-D?Thanks

Thanks Laurie,I'm just trying to take an informal poll, because there are so many differing opinions out there. I have researched the heck out of the microlithiasis issue and there just is no definitive answer. It's just try it and see what happens. I'm leaning towards having the GB out because I've had digestive problems since my teens, but God forbid that I would get worse. The funny thing is I got my IBS-D under control last year with probiotics.I'm so tired of researching this that I'm now at the point of just saying "OK doc, just tell me what to do".
