Dear Ali,I did years ago when I was going through a terrible marriage and then a terrible divorice. Panic attacks- which at that time no one ever spoke about, so I just thought all along that I was dying, are an awful thing to go through. I couldn't even go to the grocery store after a while, no public places - only certain safe zones..... it was taking away my life...BUT - YOU CAN GET HELP... YOU WERE DIAGNOSED WITH THIS "ALL IN OUR MIND" ILLNESS AND YOU CAN BEAT THIS THING !!! Do you want the truth how I got over panic disorder without any help or meds? Prayers - and lot's of them... put all those problems of yours in the Lords hands and he will carry you through, you are not alone - never !!!I suggest trying the above - and also seek counseling along with any medicine therapy the Doc should perscribe... YOU WILL BEAT THIS THING !!! It truly is mind over matter !!!May the Lord Bless you and keep us posted.
I have to agree that putting my faith in Christ and turning to Him is very helpful. He is the only one who knows exactly what we are going through and how we feel, and by putting faith and trust in Jesus, we can live a much better life.
thx guysi don't really know what i have. my family doctor says it's prolly panic attacks or panic disorder. my symptoms are :headachesdizzinessfeeling faintheart pounding shortness of breathnausea/diarrheadifficulty concentratinglow energynumbnesshot flash & chillsfear of losing control depressiondid u guys have the same syptoms???i do blieve in god and pray all the time.but i'm just feeling very bad right nowi'm sure i will get out of this but i don't know how soon.thx for the support
Dear Ali,Those are classic symptoms.... I used to have to drive with the windows down in the car in the mid of winter because I was afraid I would pass out !!! and that is just it --- it is a fear inside you, sooo bad that you feel you cannot control it. BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOURSELF !!! YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG AND DON'T LET THIS GET YOU !!! KEEP TELLING YOURSELF "I CAN BEAT THIS THING!" Please go to a psychiatrist (after you first are completely checked out by an M.D.) and he may put you on a good anti-depresent, which along with your prayers, may put you on the road to recovery,God Bless you, Ali - and I'll pray for you, too !!!
Ali, I was the one who posted the topic "medication for anxiety attacks". If you read it you will know what I'm going through. I haven't found a good answer yet though, like what's the diff between antidepressant and relaxants, etc. I also asked if this is something we can conquer by ourselves, or will we need something drastic like medication or hypnotherapy...<< SiMoN >>
