Hi everyone - I'm new to ibs, as I've been diagnosed with ibs after complaining about pelvic discomfort for the past 4 months. I have seen a gyn and gastro specialist who both think i don't have a gynac problem. I just want to know does anyone else feel a pinchy prickly discomfort in the pelvic region with ibs. Sometimes i feel like some gas bubbly feeling might be moving around near the pelvic region. Most people talk about lower abdominal pain or discomfort, but my discomfort is in the pelvic area - is this the same? I was put on anti-spasmatic drug (Calofac), but it hasn't seem to do anything? I also don't have C (touch wood), and very ocassionally had D, although my everyday stools are soft and slimy-ish I think. Grateful if anyone can tell me whether they have pelvic discomfort and if anything works.

Hi Do you have to go to the bathroom lots. I experience pelvic pain but they also said i had Interstitial cystitis. Which is a condition of the bladder leading to pelvic discomfort and an overactive bladder. The pelvic pain is also worse when i'm really constipated. I don't if this helps. I do have pelvic pain but my doctors never actually ever blamed ibs for it. Keep fit and have fun
